Harm Reduction Training Collaborative

The Chicago Harm Reduction Training Collaborative is thrilled to be celebrate our 5th annual Harm Reduction Training Calendar. Please download the course descriptions found at the bottom of this page

The Harm Reduction Training Calendar is a collaboration between: The Chicago Recovery Alliance, The Young Women's Empowerment Project, The Night Ministry, Test Positive Aware Network, The Chicago Department of Public Health and the Harm Reduction Coalition.

Mission

The Harm Reduction Training Collaborative is a Chicago–based grass–roots training and support network by and for people in the street economy, social service providers, administrators, activists, peer educators and community members. We build access to empowerment-based options, life saving interventions and real world strategies in order to nurture harm reduction efforts and create community.

These are great trainings for folks new to harm reduction and needle exchange with new state, county and city grants. They are also good refreshers and a great place to network or just a chance to hang out with some supportive harm reductionists. Additionally, we have some new trainings that delve a little deeper into how harm reduction may be integrated into a variety of social service agencies. We continue to enjoy talented and seasoned trainers with a lot of experience and skills to share.

Check out the calendar and distribute to all community members: employees, volunteers and consumers. We hope to see you there!
